The Sur La Table Sales Tax Policy
Sur La Table charges sales tax on orders shipping to: every state BUT Oregon. If Sur La Table has a retail presence in a state, they must charge sales tax. The only state where Sur La Table does not operate stores as of November 12, 2009 is Oregon.
Where Sur La Table Delivers:
Sur La Table cannot process online deliveries outside of the 50 United States. You must phone customer service at 1-800-243-0852 (24 hours a day) to send Sur La Table orders outside of the United States. Sur La Table also does not deliver to Post Office Boxes.
How Sur La Table Delivers:
The cutoff time for placing online orders to Sur La Table is 3:00pm EST on business days excepting holidays. Orders placed after that time will not be processed until the following business day. All APO / FPO orders are delivered via Parcel Post: please allow 4 to 6 weeks for their delivery. Items shipped directly from the vendors as well as special-order items take additional time to ship. Expedited shipping is not available for certain heavy and/or oversized items, products shipped directly from the vendor and orders shipping outside of the 48 contiguous United States (those shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and APO / FPO addresses).
- Standard Ground Delivery - will have your order delivered within 7 to 10 business days at a charge of between $5.50 to 11% of the merchandise total. add $7.50 for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii. Gift cards shipping via Standard Delivery ship for free.
- Express Delivery - will have your order delivered within 2 business days at a charge of between $20.45 and 11% of the merchandise total with an additional $14.95 added on This delivery service is not available for: non-gift card items to AK, HI, APO / FPO addresses, items shipped from Sur La Table's vendors, special order items, and some heavy or bulk items. Gift cards cost $6.50 per address to ship via Express Delivery.
- Overnight Delivery - will have your order delivered the next business day (provided you place your order before 3:00pm EST or it will be processed the next business day) at a charge of between $30.95 and 11% of the merchandise total with a $24.95 surcharge. It is not available for: non-gift card items to AK, HI, APO / FPO addresses, items shipped from Sur La Table's vendors, special order items, and some heavy or bulk items. There is a $10 charge for overnight delivery of gift cards.
- Gift Cards ship free with standard shipping. Express delivery of gift cards costs $6.50 per address and overnight delivery of gift cards costs $10 per address. These purchases are not figured in the merchandise total when calculating your shipping charge.
* Shipments with "Free Shipping" use Standard Shipping.
* Gift cards are not counted in your merchandise total when figuring shipping charges.
