Hickory Farms Sales Tax Policy:

Hickory Farms has a significant presence in many US states. Their sales tax policy is rather complicated and the have very graciously outlined this policy in great detail on their site. Some states charge sales tax on non-food items only. Some states charge a varying tax rate depending on if your gift contains non-food items or not. Other states will include shipping and handling charges as taxable goods. Finally, some states charge sales tax on ALL items at the same rate. States charging sales tax on all Hickory Farms items equally include: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina and South Dakota. States charging varying rates of sales tax depending on whether or not your gift includes non-food items include: Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia (the tax rate is SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER if your gift contains no non-food items such as baskets, spreaders, canisters, cutting boards and tins even!). States charging sales tax only on gift that include non-food items include: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Where Hickory Farms Delivers:

Currently, Hickory Farms can only ship items to: the United States, APO / FPO addresses, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Guam. Hickory Farms ships products to Canada through its Canadian Website.

How Hickory Farms Delivers:

Hickory Farms assesses its shipping charges per address that you ship to. This amount is based upon the merchandise total being shipped to each address. Sending Hickory Farms gifts to several different addresses is easy. Upon placing each item in your online shopping cart, you choose who you want to ship the item to from a drop-down menu towards the right of the screen. You can also specify the delivery method for each individual order.

• Standard 3 to 7 Day Delivery has your product arrive within 3 to 7 business days and ranges in price between $5.99 to $20.99 for orders totalling under $100. Orders over $100 are charged 22% of the merchandise total as a shipping expense.
• Express 2 to 3 Day Delivery has your order arrives within 2 to 3 business days for the price of standard shipping plus a $9.99 surcharge per address. This option is available for Wednesday through Friday deliveries (exclusive of holidays) and does not require a signature upon delivery.Orders must be placed by 11am EST to be processed the same day.
• Rush 1 to 2 Day Delivery ships your order within 1 to 2 business days for the price of standard shipping plus a surcharge of $12.99 per address. A signature is not required upon delivery and orders may ship Wednesdays through Saturdays (exclusive of holidays).
• APO / FPO Shipping delivers your gifts within 4 weeks. Not all items are eligible to be sent overseas to military installations: shop from the "Military Gifts" section to ensure your gift can be shipped. In support of U.S. Troops, Hickory Farms always ships for free to APO/FPO addresses!
• Guaranteed Holiday Shipping will get your order delivered by the holiday selected for the cost of standard shipping, guaranteed.
• Canadian Deliveries must be ordered through Hickory Farms' Canadian Website. Fresh fruit and frozen meats cannot be shipped to Canadian addresses. Canadian shipping rates are the same as the standard US shipping rates, with a surcharge of $7.50. Orders to certain destinations may take up to 4 weeks to arrive.
• U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam Deliveries cannot contain either fresh fruits or frozen foods. Certain items may take up to 4 weeks to arrive. Add $6 to the US shipping rates for deliveries to these destinations.
• Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico Deliveries have restrictions on which items can be shipped to these locations. All frozen items must be sent via Express or Rush delivery. Additional charges may apply for shipping.
• Arizona Deliveries cannot contain citrus fruits
• Post Office Box Deliveries will have a $6 surcharge applied for a "Priority Mail Upgrade". Frozen food cannot be shipped to Post Office Boxes. Standard 3 to 7 Day Delivery is the only option available for Post Office Box Delivery: Expedited and Rush Services are not available.
• Frozen Food Deliveries ship on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, to be delivered on either Tuesday or Wednesday only. Frozen food cannot be sent to correctional institutions.
• International Deliveries (Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses, Canada)

* Hickory Farms is unable to deliver on Saturdays and Sundays.
* Standard 3 to 7 Day Delivery is the only option if you'd like your order delivered on either a Monday or a Tuesday.
