Apple Certified Refurbished Products are pre-owned Apple products having undergone a rigorous refurbishment process and are offered to you at discounted prices with Apple's standard one-year limited warranty. Refurbished macs or iPods can also be purchased with the "AppleCare Protection Plan". (Engraving and gift-wrapping is not currently offered for Apple Refurbished products.) Clearance Items are new and unopened Apple products offered to you at special prices.

Where The Apple Store Delivers:
The Apple Online Store US can only ship to the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. No deliveries can be made from this website to Post Office Box addresses, United States Territories, APO/FPO addresses or addresses outside of the United States. While The Apple Store cannot deliver directly to APO/FPO addresses, you can place orders for APO/FPO addresses from the Apple Store by making use of a Third Party Forwarding Service such as APO Box. Sign up with a service such as APO Box and then return here to make your Apple Store purchase using your new APO Box-issued "US address". The Apple Store will deliver your package to the APO Box address. From there, the 3rd party carrier will be responsible (not the Apple Store) for getting your package to its final destination. Services such as APO Box will likely charge fees in addition to those charged by The Apple Store. The Apple Store also highly recommends that you insure your package, as they cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage after your package has arrived at your independent 3rd party carrier. There are more than 20 Apple websites around the globe that may be able to ship to your location. Check Apple's International Website Directory to locate a site that can ship to your country.
How The Apple Store Delivers:
The Apple Store offers free standard shipping for most orders (those with merchandise totalling $50 or more). Individual items have separate delivery charges for expedited delivery or if your order totals less than $50. It is because of this reason that the Apple Store Online does not have a regular chart for shipping charges available. Your shipping & delivery fee will be presented to you at all times in your shopping cart.
Once your Apple Store order has shipped, you are unable to change the delivery address. The carrier will make three delivery attempts before returning your package to Apple. You have four options for how your package can be delivered to you: pre-sign for your order with Apple, sign for your Apple order upon delivery, grant permission for your Apple order to be left with a neighbor or building manager or arrange to pick up your package at the delivery carrier's local office.
- Standard Shipping is offered free of charge to all qualifying orders of $50 or more and will have your product delivered within 5 business days of its leaving the warehouse.
- 2-Day Shipping will deliver your order within 2 business days after shipping from Apple's warehouse.
- Next Business Day Shipping has orders delivered within 1 business day of their being available.
- 2-3 Day International Shipping will deliver your order within 2 to 3 business days after your order ships from the warehouse.

The big online clearance dealers have their share of Apple products. Be sure to check places like Overstock.com and Buy.com where you can purchase both new and used Apple products and accessories online. Definitely if you're shopping online for a new iPhone, iMac accessories or software, you don't want to miss The Apple Store's Amazon Storefront on Amazon.com. And those aren't the only places you can look for a new Apple product. (Of course you don't want to overlook eBay either!)
In the office supply stores, you're more likely to find Apple accessories at Office Depot than at OfficeMax. Neither of these shops will be good places to shop for either Apple computers or iPods, however.

Purchases made online at The Apple Store must be returned within 14 calendar days of your receipt of the item. Purchases made prior to December 24, 2008, will be subject to a 10% restocking fee if returned in an open box. The return process can be inititated for a product purchased online after it has been shipped and invoiced. To start the process, visit Apple's Order Status page. From the order status page, you can print a return shipping label. Your refund will be issued in the form of tender you submitted for your purchase. Credit card purchase refund will be processed in the form of a credit to your credit card. Gift card purchases will be refunded in the form of new gift cards sent to you from Apple via USPS first class post. Cash purchases will be refunded by a cheque written to you from Apple and posted within 14 days of Apple's receipt of your returned item. Listed below are some points to note when returning your merchandise to The Apple Store:
- Shipping costs for the returned item are your responsibility, not Apple's.
- Items returned in open boxes are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
- Apple strongly recommends returning computers in the original packaging.
- Apple must receive your return within 14 days of your receipt of the item.
- Orders placed through Amazon.com or Google Checkout must be returned through those sites as well.
Several types of items cannot be returned after purchasing them.
