When Is St Patrick's Day This Year?

In 2011, St Patrick's Day falls on a Thursday (almost always celebrated on March 17). Occasionally, this date is changed by church authorities if March 17 falls during Holy Week. In 1940, St Patrick's Day was celebrated on April 3 to avoid it coinciding with Palm Sunday. In 2008, St Patrick's Day was celebrated on March 15. St Patrick's Day won't occur during Holy Week again until 2160, so we can safely plan for March 17 for St Paddys Day for a while!
